Haverford college is a small Liberal Arts College in Pennsylvania. The computer science curriculum there provided me with a very solid foundation for how computers and programming languages work. Such a foundation makes it easy to learn new programming concepts and grow as a developer.
ExperienceCurrently I am a programmer for a research lab in the Yale Child Studies Center.
Previously I was CTO of an independent game development studio, where I mentored interns and coworkers to learn programming.
During college, I helped fellow classmates in computer science courses.
I wish to tutor as I believe education is important, especially that of programming and computational literacy. Due to my capacity to re-frame and explain ideas in various ways, I'm good at teaching difficult concepts to nearly anyone.
HobbiesI'm a fan of video games, to the point where I have created my own games with a team of local developers. Our game, Luna's Wandering Star's was recently released on Steam, the largest digital distributor of computer games.
In my spare time I also pursue my interests in Japanese culture, science and technology, hiking, biking, and thinking outside the box.
My ultimate dream is to make a flying castle to live in. I've still a long ways to go :P
