| Experience: | I have tutored fellow classmates in high school free-of-cost, and worked as a teacher with an educational NGO.
Math and Physics are my strengths: I was an Honors Student for four consecutive years in high school ('05, '06, '07, '08) and received Subject Honors for these subjects. Additionally, I received a 7 in my Physics and Mathematics Higher Level IB examinations in May 2008*.
My SAT II score in Math 2 was 800/800 and that in Physics was 770/800.
My fall semester courses in Yale are Multivariable Calculus and General Advanced Physics.
I am open and understanding towards students and recognise that help in a subject must be given with care and compassion. Tutoring my younger sister in high school trained me to be a kind but firm teacher. Every student has a unique talent, and as a tutor, it would be my duty and pleasure to put the student's talent to best use through practice and knowledge. I believe that the skill in a subject is always present, it only takes a guiding hand to nurture the skill.
*IB is the International Baccalaureate International examinations where the highest grade attainable is a 7. |
| Hobbies: | My hobbies include:
1. Music: I play the guitar and piano, and sing.
2. Writing: I was the editor of my high school newspaper, and enjoy reading and writing.
3. Sports: I enjoy playing squash and basketball
