Experience
Hi, my name is Richard and I would love to help you prepare for the SAT or GRE or succeed in your Latin, English, or Philosophy classes. I am a graduate student in Philosophy and I have extensive experience teaching college-level Philosophy courses. I am ready to help you learn the concepts and strategies needed to achieve high scores on the SAT and GRE. Our tutoring sessions will be driven by your goals. Once you tell me what you want to achieve β whether itβs a high score on the SAT or GRE, a better grasp of Latin grammar, or an A on your next Philosophy paper β I will structure the sessions to best help you reach that goal. I achieved a perfect score on both the verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning sections of the GRE on my first attempt. I have an MA in Philosophy and I am currently working on my doctorate in Philosophy at a highly-ranked doctoral program. I have taught multiple college courses in Philosophy. I am proficient in classical and medieval Latin. I have taken many courses in Latin, including the highest level of the University of Toronto's intensive summer program in medieval Latin. My job involves reading many pages of untranslated Latin texts every week. I received an SAT score in the 98th percentile on my first attempt and I was a National Merit Scholarship finalist. I have proofread hundreds of student essays as a college instructor. Do feel free to contact me if you would like to schedule a session or have any questions! I will reply right away.
