I have been tutoring students from grade three and up for nearly 10 years, in a range of subjects including government, history, math and science. I am also experienced in tutoring for standardized test preparation. I am a recent graduate of Harvard University, where I taught various math courses as an assistant. I am currently a TA at the school while I prepare for my grad school tenure. My strength in teaching is helping students solve and understand problems as a whole, rather than simply memorizing answers. I have years of experience guiding students in organization skills and developing plans to help them learn with consistency and move to succeeding levels of subject matter. My own educational interests include a range of subjects from environmental sciences and public policy to mathematical modeling and genetics. I strive to present material in very clear and understandable ways, aiming to provide students with a comfortable environment that fosters focus and comprehension. My hobbies and interests include music, theater, baseball games, and eating out at area restaurants.
